This week, At Aurora Early Child Education children have been involved in an egg hatching program through a company called ‘Living Eggs’. The incursion is run in all Studios with all age groups.
The children were very excited as Living Eggs was set up in rooms for the children to observe and watch the life cycle of an egg to a baby chick. The children had the opportunity to watch and learn how and where a chick came from and the transformation they go through to look so cute and fluffy. They were able to witness the beginning of a chick’s life and how they independently learn life skills, as well as stay together as a group when needed. Educators explained to the children about the life cycle of a chick from an egg and arranged experiences to extend on this learning. Children also had the opportunity to learn about being responsible for a living thing and how to look after the chicks when they hatch.
