The Seamist children have been enjoying dance lessons in one of our extra-curricular activities for the past two weeks. The children have been incorporating stretching, balancing, imitating, jumping and swaying to the music as well as tapping a variety of musical instruments to the beat of the music.

The educators have noticed that the children’s ability to focus for longer periods of time has shown improvement and they are concentrating more when following the instructor’s choreography. The very young babies that are not yet walking are still involved in the extra-curricular activities and enjoy learning through observation and listening to different music, while watching their friends dance around.

Happy Feet is such a wonderful program for our children to be involved in on Mondays and there is a lot of learning occurring while the children have fun, including improving their co-ordination, enhancing their gross motor skills and overall well-being.
