Our Centre Standards
At Aurora Early Education, we give your child all the time she or he needs to learn in a caring, friendly and fun space. Our Love & Play philosophy means all children are treated with respect and given attention at every moment of the day.
Our curriculum is firmly based in the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VELDF) and the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF), both of which guide educators on the optimum ways children learn and develop. They outline five key Learning Outcomes that help get your child school ready.

Indoor/Outdoor Spaces
We believe a mix of indoor/outdoor learning delivers a balanced educational experience. Your child has access to both indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the day, dependent on the weather.

Nutrition
We are what we eat and at Aurora, we take nutrition seriously. We make sure your child gets the freshest, most nutritious meals while they are in our care.
Our in-house cook prepares fresh, delicious food in the Aurora Kitchen every day in consultation with experts in nutrition and diets. Meals are handmade with love and follow the Australian Dietary Guidelines.

Health and Safety
Our staff members’ qualifications are monitored and kept up to date by the Aurora HR manager, with an emphasis on first aid, CPR updates, Asthma Management and EpiPen training, etc.
We are a Sun Smart Child Care and kindergarten service – we encourage all children to be suitably dressed and provide bucket hats to each child on enrolment. All our educators help apply sunscreen to each child 20 minutes prior to outdoor play.

Specialist Sessions
Specialist Sessions provide additional educational opportunities to children in areas such as health, language, creativity, movement and relaxation.

Code of Culture
Every child is unique and as such has the potential to grow physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.
Play is an important and essential part of every child’s life.
We will work with children to promote acceptance of gender, age, race, religion, language, culture and ability.

Staff Well Being
Our workplace promotes health and wellbeing so our people can support your child to be the very best they can be.
Our team is focused on communication and support. As a result, our team members have a high degree of professional and social interaction with each other and we support this with team-building sessions on a quarterly basis and off-premise meetings to promote morale and team cohesion.

Quality Assessment Framework
Aurora is an Exceeding Service
The purpose of Aurora’s assessment process is to determine whether and at what rating services meet the National Quality Standard and the requirements of the National Regulations (section 133(1) of the National Law).
A key focus of the National Quality Framework is to promote continuous quality improvement.
From 2012, services covered under the National Law have been assessed and rated by authorized officers from the relevant regulatory authority in each state and territory.
The National Quality Standard sets a new national benchmark for the quality of education and care services. It helps families make informed decisions about education and care for their child.
