Kinder
At Aurora Kindergarten, our Willow Walk studio room offers a rhythmic routine and structure to each day. Each session allows for whole group discussions and explorations of concepts. Children can then direct their own learning through engaging with interactive, fun and exciting experiences that are set up around the room.
Activities and experiences are carefully thought through to meet individual children’s needs and abilities to further develop their knowledge and skills. Broad concepts are discussed during whole group session time and then realted activities facilitate exploration and inquiry to build upon the child’s base knowledge.
Our school readiness program prepares your child to transition seamlessly and successfully from kindergarten to school and lays the foundation for a lifetime of positive learning experiences.
We start mid-year before your child transitions. We’ll prepare a report that reflects on how your child might cope with the change and book an interview with you to discuss their progress and options.
Then we’ll work to enhance their emotional maturity, physical development, social and communication skills, focusing on building resilience to cope with whatever school throws at them – whether it’s in the classroom or the playground.
Kinder Curriculum
Integrated Kindergarten
The Aurora Kindergarten program offers a choice of any two 7.5hr days within the long daycare hours (7am-6:30 pm) as well as any other days that you require for care. The Kindergarten program runs 9am- 5pm every day, 52 weeks a year.
Bachelor Qualified Teachers
Our Pre-Kinder program is delivered by Bachelor qualified staff that are well versed in early childhood education best practice, sharing Aurora’s commitment to nurturing your child in a safe, supportive learning environment.
School and Life Ready
Our school readiness program prepares your child to transition seamlessly and successfully from kindergarten to school, laying the foundation for a lifetime of positive learning experiences. We’ll work to enhance your child’s emotional maturity, physical development, social and communication skills, ‘focusing on building resilience to cope with challenges.
Kindergarten Reunion
To help ease the transition between kindergarten and school, Aurora host sessions where past students return to discuss with current students about what to expect at school. This is an important tool in easing any fears that kindergarten children may be feeling.
Exploration and Enquiry
We encourage children to reflect, theorise, hypothesise and try out different ideas. We interact with them in meaningful ways, knowing that this kind of meaningful interaction with adults sets them up for success in later life.

Enrolment
Aurora offers full time and part time positions for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. All positions are for the full day, allowing families to attend at any time during operational hours.
